Amelia Webb (born 23 July 2000)[one] [ii] is a British vocalist-songwriter. She is known for her singles "Before I Become" and "Good Without", the latter of which peaked at number eight on the UK Singles Chart. In October 2021, she released her debut EP Seven Shades of Heartbreak.

Early life [edit]

Webb was built-in and raised in Canterbury with her parents and blood brother. She attended the independent schoolhouse Kent College in Canterbury. She learned guitar and piano, and began to write her ain songs at age xiii.[3] [iv] [5] She credits her piano instructor with encouraging a musical career when she was xv.[5] She cites Adele, Amy Winehouse, Emeli Sandé, and Sam Smith among her influences,[1] forth with jazz/pop singers Louis Armstrong, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald[3] and Nat King Cole.[vi]

At sixteen, she moved to Brighton to nourish Brighton Music College (part of the British and Irish Modernistic Music Institute). She participated with fellow students in musical performances and competitions.[three] [7] She visited Los Angeles in December 2018 with her artist managing director to meet with tape labels. In Feb 2019 at the age of eighteen, she signed with Ballsy Records.[6]

Career [edit]

Webb released her debut unmarried "Before I Become" in April 2020.[eight] The song was featured past Charli D'Amelio on TikTok,[nine] [ten] [11] gathering over 85 one thousand thousand views[1] on the platform and over 25 meg streams on Spotify.[12] Her unmarried "Reasons" was featured on BBC Radio 1,[13] and in June 2021, her single "Good Without" peaked at number 8 on the United kingdom Singles Chart.[14] Webb released her debut EP, Seven Shades of Heartbreak, on 22 October 2021.[15]
